Basslines with Swagger, Roots in Steel
No stranger to the spotlight β or the eyeliner β Travis Haley, is known for his flashy style and thunderous basslines.
Best known to fans worldwide as Lexxi Foxx, the teased-haired, mirror-wielding bassist of the internationally acclaimed glam-metal band Steel Pantherβhas built a career on killer basslines, over-the-top performances, and a deep love for the loud and theatrical.
Originally hailing from the Midwest, Travisβ rise to rock stardom came after years of dedication to his craft, cutting his teeth in the Los Angeles music scene. As one of the founding members of Steel Panther, Travis helped take the band from a cult favorite on the Sunset Strip to a global sensation. Known for their outrageous lyrics, high-energy live shows, and tongue-in-cheek tribute to 1980s hair metal, Steel Panther released a string of successful albums during his time in the bandβincluding Feel the Steel, Balls Out, All You Can Eat, and Lower the Bar. These records landed on Billboard charts, earned critical acclaim, and brought the band to stages around the world, from Download Festival to Wembley Arena.
But behind the spandex and stage antics was a seriously skilled musician. Travisβ bass playing brought thunder to the bandβs soundβlocking in groove-heavy foundations beneath the blazing guitars and soaring vocals. Offstage, he was a co-writer, performer, and fan-favorite, celebrated not just for his musicianship but also his showmanship and charisma.
In 2021, Travis parted ways with Steel Panther to pursue a new chapter, stepping away from the Lexxi persona and returning to his roots as a versatile, grounded musician. Now, heβs joined forces with Billy Morris and The Sunset Strip, bringing with him decades of touring experience, studio time, and an undeniable presence that still turns heads.
Whether heβs laying down smooth rhythm or delivering gritty, melodic basslines, Travis Haley remains a force in rock βnβ rollβproof that glam might evolve, but real talent never fades
